Can pillows be washed successfully?
Most pillows can be washed but check the instructions. A good trick when drying your pillow is to put this in the dryer with a laundry ball, also something like a tennis ball can be used.
Can wool duvets be dry cleaned?
Feather and Down and Wool duvets are dry cleaned.
Microfibre can be washed and come back very well.
A 500gsm King duvet is a large duvet. Check that your washing machine is large enough to hold the product you are washing.
Why is bamboo used in home linen products?
Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, odour-resistant, chemical free, dust mite and mould-resistant, making it an excellent choice for allergy sufferers.
Can I purchase the same Alastair's pillow used in hotels?
The Alastair’s pillow used throughout New Zealand in Hotels and Motels is an exclusive to hospitality pillow and is not available for purchase in stores.
What is the difference between an Alastair's wool underlay and The Wool Company underlay?
Alastair’s wool underlays were previously branded as The Wool Company. These are exactly the same products, though rebranded as Alastair’s.
Can you use an electric blanket with a mattress topper?
An electric blanket is fine to use with Mattress Toppers.The electric blanket would be placed under the topper so the heat draws up through the topper.
